I knew this one! That is Larry's guitar. He is active on a couple of forums, a real nice guy and an excellent player too.

The pattern is natural.

       I just checked out Baskin's site(Bashkin?)! He builds some nice looking guitars! I've heard of ebony used on back and sides but never seen it, it's stunning!

Hesh, yes that is natural, come on over if you'd like to flex and tap some of it..
It is from the "NEW" tree, Gem quality quilted sapele.
